Definitely no. European list prices are pretty high and in Switzerland there are not to many sellers will give you nise discount on current models. But generally you can ask for 10-12% discount and tax free is around 10%.

looks like not worth it to buy in Swiss. Then what watch brands are cheap there to buy? I will be going to Italy and Paris too. Anyone knows what's cheap there? looking for some breitling too. haha

this issue has surfaced many times. a search will reveal that it is not necessarily cheaper. you will have to go to local AD and check out pricing of the watch you interested. then you go there and compare. sometimes cheaper. sometimes not. depends on model.

if u wanna compare apple for an apple then swiss will be cheaper if u talk bout sing & swiss AD both sell at list price without discount.Swiss got tax rebate and currency exchange rate to factor in.So swiss is cheaper by the tax rebate & the currency exchange market.cheers.

whats more to add.... triton and illusion have pretty much summed it up in a nutshell for you. besides checking local AD, you can also check out gray sellers; then make an informed decision when you arrive in switzerland.

Definitely not really cheap. Whether cheap or not depends on several factors like exchange rate, discounts and the model that you are keen. If you are keen for popular models, may expect to pay more.

Hi all, i'm going to europe and will be passing by Switzerland. Will buying rolex from switzerland be much cheaper than in Singapore?

Also, will buying IWC and Panerai from switzerland be cheaper than singapore too?

Need your advice and help here.. Sourcing for my very first watch, hehe.

                        Thank you.

Was contemplating between buying brand new from switzerland or getting 2nd hand here from garage. Any comments?

No. Best is do check the local sales price (after discounts) and then compare it with the Swiss price. There will be tax rebates and exchange rate difference. If after tax rebates, discounts or good exchange rate, may be able to get a good deal. And not forgetting the model you are keen. For popular models, may not even find it.
