I used to travel alot , and therefore collect mechanical gmt watches, after all these years my favourite Sports watches are Omega Seamaster GMT,Sinn 103 UTC ti,Sinn 144 gmt,(affordtable, tough & easy to tell time)IWC utc,Rolex Gmt Master II,they all comes with bracelet and have high water resistance & hour hands are iindependently set .......

As for dress watch I have always like my Franck Muller 6850 MB.........(but I dislike the poor power reserved & poor water resistance plus poor resale value !)

Other watches that I have used for travelling includes pam 88,pam 63,AP RO dual timezone,AP RO Offshore dual time,Blancpain TRILOGY GMT(these are scratch magnets, rubber straps & bracelet are uncomfortable),Bvlgari scuba gmt(uncomfortable bracelet difficult to read date),Explorer II(safe bet),Sinn U2S(not as tough as they say coating wears off),Sinn 857S UTC(painful crown),Sinn 856S UTC BK(the crest obstructs second timezone reading)............

I am still searching for my perfect travelling companion ..........just my 5 cents worth !

Its quite a common occurrence amongst lots of SS GMT 2C owners. Most people whom I've met after a while they kind of regretted not getting the TT version .There really isn't that much of a price difference once you factor in the higher discounts that are available for the TT version.

I currently also have a TT but in a Daytona with a blue Arabic dial and am of the same opinion as yourself. The gold in theory would scratch easier but most wearers tend to be a lot more conscious of it and will take care accordingly. Whereas SS lots of wearers aren't that cautious when they actually should be .

Traveling on leisure, I presume.. Casio G-Shock matches well with sandals, shorts and collarless T-shirts!!

                .
Just thinking out loud. Say bought a SS GMT2c and regretted after 1 yr. Can just go to 2nd shop and trade in for a TT one. Both the watch price should drop at about the same magnitude as they are pre-owned for the same age. Just top up about the same or maybe even less than the price different between 2 watches.

This is exactly the reason I go for a Rolex than IWC or others. Rolex is so easy to change from 1 to another at 2nd shop. I was initially looking at a DatejustII but found it a bit tricky to wear it in the office hence get a sport model as I will want to wear it as daily beater. Yet TT will be a bit too flashy too hence got the SS. Didn't rule out trade-in for a TT or DJ2 when the time age and position is right. Just my 2 cents.

I set the bezel on my 1675 to GMT-7 for PST, as I do a lot of conference calls with US West Coast. It's great for figuring what time it is over there at a quick glance. Works a breeze!

I use the main hand for Singapore time, GMT hand for GMT +0, and the bezel for the local time of the city that I am in.
