dont take this thread as a way to be scared, but rather to be cautious. in most cases, you only hear those who got the bad side of the coin. but what about those who go travelling day in/out with expensive watches. some of them; dont even bat an eyelid.

most important in my opinion is to get insured for your watch whilst travelling.

I have an Arab customer who told me his whole family will only wear their million dollars collection of watches when they are in Singapore. They do not feel safe doing so anywhere else in the world. Food for thought

My rollie babies have not travelled at all, though i travel quite a bit for work. usually wear my orient diver or one of the reps that i picked up at night markets during travel, just gives me peace of mind, especially since i'm usually flying solo. for leisure, it's always my trusty G-Shock, ping piang oso not scared.

End of the day, no matter what watch you are wearing; if you act foolishly in a foreign land, you are going to get burnt. most importantly is the blend in with the crowd, and exercise common sense.

Numerous amount of times, people going crazy in foreign land (not aimed at any particular country), and attracting uncalled for attention. it is little wonder they get targeted.

Wrong! From my travel experience, I do see many ROLEX watches, including IWC pilot models and PANERAI luminor models. But mostly, they were worn by foreign travellers..
