I was offered one for S$13K.. will you part with that money?
13K for a GMT Master II 16710?? With that $, there are a lot of better options available. Lets faced it, the last batches of 16710 with the 3186 movement is a nice acquisition and may rise in value in the years to come, but sellers demanding almost 5K over its last known retail price is simply a case of "sellers drumming up demand" ploy. Its' rarity may also not necessarily lead to higher potential value because the determinant of prices is always demand. As much as I would love to have such a 16710 & would even probably consider trading my only SD to attain it, I'm afraid I would not cross the sensible price threshold of SGD8K and break the bank just to follow the hype. juz my opinion.

REALIZE THERE'S NEVER A RIGHT WAY. ONLY A BETTER WAY.
