Frankly, I notice that most of the luxury Watches just like Rolex are over price.
Maybe bcos of $$$ depreciation...Put it tis way, if u shop around, u will find that Rolex still worth buying bcos its resell value still very good :-)
Desire & Craving will never end, save some cash for the rainy day. Just my 2 cents worth.

How much did you pay for it?

No particular budget, however, must meet objective (i.e. cheaper & worthwhile)

for rolex, the usual ss sports model - sub C, seadweller, sub no date, daytona
for other brands, have sinn, omega, breitling (wont mention the other low tier eg seiko, cyma)

If he compare $100 seiko automatic watch, most brands are overprice!

Your question is likely to seek more questions. Which series are you looking at? How old? Is it a pre-owned set you are looking at or one that is NOS (new-old-stock)?

Pricing can be from late 5K to high 8K.

I owned Black dial S/S Submariner and 116333. Frankly, its definitely worthwhile and I have no regret buying them bcos their price already "shot up" by now :-)

Sea Dweller at less than 6k (though I can't find one yet) is considered cheaper and worthwhile.
Same as 6694 that is around 1k (though I can't find one yet). Also cheaper and worthwhile to me.
