"Cheaper" is subjective depending on the depth of pockets vs what you deem as a value buy. Cheapest will be unsigned Rolexes which you may find sometimes in flea markets for under $1k. One of the most well known Oyster Rolex will be the Ref:6694. Sports models wise, most likely Explorer 1?
Really depends on price range and the model/series
How cheap is cheap? 5k? 7k? 10k?
Current models are all going almost 5figures now
Even old preown sports model can cost 6-7k
If you like watches with a dive bezel, go for the Sub No Date 14060M. Brand new ard $7.4k+
If you like simple watch and couldn't care about a black bezel, then the 214270 Exp 1 is a good choice. Brand new also $7.4k+.

Maybe it is easier if you could just view it in your own perspective.

Good luck on your hunt!
I am unable to find a 1k Rolex in working condition and not too lousy exterior condition.
Explorer 1 is good choice though price is on the high side.
