  • Parachrom Blue Hairspring

    Hi,

Do you guys know if the new blue hairing spring is being fitted in the M-series submariner or the submariner LV ?

or all the submariners are still on the older movement ?

  • #2
nope......so far no news and no evidence of submariners being equipped with parachrom bleu.....

only new submariners launched at basel 08 get the newer hairspring........
the hype is true. listen at your own risk.

is it possible for a watchmaker to buy the parachrom blu and install it... my guess is that it will fit, and since the case sizes remain same, the mov't should also be same size, thus it "should" be able to be interchangable

not all that is hyped to be. IMHO, but it is good to try out something new.

The gap between the 3185/3186 is the blue hairspring, I highly doubt it can mean THAT much difference to a watch. However that has yet to be seen.

It is IMO an advancement in tech tat ROLEX wans to show to its competitors. How effective? Unless u r in te relevant industry n able to grapple/understand such precise engineering, otherwise, it is nt easy to measure.

you forgot to factor in the USE of such "advancements" it could very well be that the watch runs better WITH it.........im not sure.

you can just make out the free sprung balance - IMHO only the top tier watches will have this form of balance mechanism

hi is this F series daytona using the new blue parachrom spring?
