It is this time of the year that watch manufacturers start to release news of their new products ahead of the SIHH. However, some brands, like Rolex in the past years, choose to announce/showcase their new products at the Baselworld. So while we will already now see some 2013 models from some brands that make us save up our year-end bonus anticipanting their launch, we most likely will be kept in suspense till March to know what Rolex is cooking.
Some interesting new models from brands like Cartier and IWC are already out in the news. So what has Rolex got to offer this time?
I personally think that the SS Daytona will be upsized to 42mm. And hopefully a facelift too, as I feel the current black dial and white dial look pretty tired by now. What I would not like to see, but might just happen, is ceramic bezel on the SS Daytona.
Will there finally be a 50th anniversary Daytona, with some green somewhere, that has been talked about in the past 2 years or so?
Or a Pepsi GMT IIc with ceramic bezel?
Keeping my fingers crossed...
