Reliable sources have indicated that Sub ND 14060m will be discontinued wef 2012 after the next baselworld...

    What are the possible implications?

A new Sub ceramic no date?
A mad rush for the current model?

Making the grandpa of no-dates (5513) even more desirable?

      reliable sources from?

anyway, if one is to look @ the sports models, the only model that is still yet to go through any form of upgrade is the 14060M.

that is why many people speculate that it is the next model in line to be 'discontinue' is the 14060M.

what ever changes, it remains to be seen.

will there be a mad rush for 14060M? depends on whether it is COSC or non-COSC. for COSC version, i doubt it. for non COSC version. possible.

I doubt there will be any rush to buy sub nd.

        They are quite abundant.

Love the lobang and no cyclop look.

Just need to get over no date.

Is there such a thing as a non-COSC Rolex?

I think 14060 is non-COSC, hence no cert given and not stated on the dial : )

I ain't no expert dude. Triton's more au fait with it. IIRC, the Submariner 14060 is an older version of the 14060M and the 'M' refers to the change of movement? I don't remember which year already but something like the 14060 housed an older movement as compared to the 14060M. And I think only the later batches of the 14060M comes with the C.O.S.C movement, which means that not all 14060M is C.O.S.C. I can't recall the exact date or series when it started with the C.O.S.C. movement.

                Triton, pls help ..

The 14060 with the Cal. 3000 movement are non-COSC and I believe some of the earlier 14060M with the Cal.3100 arent COSC either.
Love the simpler dials of the non COSC 14060s.

The COSC 14060M's started in late 2007 with the 'Z' series.... Have sold a couple of 14060M's in this forum of late, the latest being a COSC 14060M. In my opinion, though the COSC 14060M's dial looked more busy with 4 lines of text, it is perfectly complimented with the engraved rehaut. Often, I would forget the act of raising my arm to tell time, only to find myself staring and adoring the engraved rehaut. Personal preferences I guess, but whether COSC or non-COSC, it provides a fun decision-making event for buyers

Just a sidenote, put the 14060/M/COSC with the 16610 side by side and u'll see that the 14060/M/COSC sits with a thinner bezel profile than the 16610. And that makes the 14060/M/COSC more elegant and clean (IMO). Well, the only gripe I have with the 14060M is with the old school sub bracelet. Would have been ideal if it comes with an SEL bracelet instead as I find that it makes the watch sit better on my 7.5 inch wrist.
