Has anyone heard of this reference?

I heard that it has the more blockish current datejust case in 36mm , polished center-links and a rolex explorer 114270 style dial ... but no "explorer" written on the dial.

More interestingly, I heard that it was shown at Basel 2008, 500 pieces were made... and then strangely, discontinued.

    Anyone heard anything?

I don't think it is discontinued. 500 made? 50000000 more likely...

500 made? You won't be seeing this price already...you gotta add a few more zeros to the price

That's the success of Rolex, they use the common casing, bracelet, and parts, just change a bit on dial, basel or may be movt, then package it up and sale.... No good just stop loh....

                    Thanks for the updates.

Basic design no change, only change in dial design, may be changes in Movt internally.
