Take the whole espisode as a lesson in life lor....Do more research and legwork before commiting a purchase...and do feel free to post any questions over here as i am sure there are many kind hearted Bros and Sisters out here willing to impart their knowledge to newcomers....
Everyone have to start from the scratch...even for me...i learnt thru the hard way too...but as i learn along the way...read more...research more....ask more.....developed a much thicker hide in the process too...
Cheer up and wear the rolex with a happy heart...

you will love the watch that you paid a premium over now. much like that apartment that you have been eyeing over the last few months.
let bygones be bygones, and just enjoy the watch.
i almost got taken for a ride on a daytona recently (until my emotions kicked out of gear and my brain kicked into gear). sometimes you buy at good price; other times you will pay a premium.

My IWC big pilot 5004 is a watch that i will not sell nor wear at all...WHY...
Everytime i see the watch,it reminds me to be more prudent and do more research for my next watch purchase instead of just trigger happy and just wacked for the thrill of a spanking new watch....
Paid a high premium for this piece a few years back when i was sucked into the hype of going into watches that are the rage of the season....that is why i m not really into the current hype or brand of the year or most popular brands, models n 'must-have' models.....
Hence...now i take a long time to mull over watch purchases....

Pre-owned....full set....overseas AD....paid bnib price for a pre-owned piece...u can roughly know how i paid for...
Take it easy. It happened to me more than once.
Best example. Bought 16610LV on a Friday....decided on Saturday I prefer the flat 4 version. Sold my LV on Monday and lost $400. How many times did I wear the watch? Once!
Wow Bro Kuchingku...u oso have this kind of hard lesson in life oso ar..hehehe
For me the watch is unflippable as it remind me to be always less rash and be more level headed when comes to watches...hehehe..
I rather get it off and not feel sad looking at it. I got bigger lessons.
Bought a 5513 from a reputable collector. Agreed price which is high and met up. Checked watch and found a touch up spot on the dial. Said ok and took it. No watch repairman can undo it. A new dial cost us$1400 to replace. In the end, traded the watch to an overseas dealer who will change the dial and resell. Fees for my inexperience? S$2300.
