  • Milgauss Black or GV?

looking to get my first rolex and i've more or less decided on a milgauss but unsure if i should get the black or the GV.

i was attracted to the black in the beginning but as i start to research on the watch, it appears that the GV seems more popular/unique and the look is growing on me.

the premium of the GV is approx. 1.5k +/- over the black. any advice/comment on which one i should go for assuming i'm (still) neutral on both colours and will be wearing it as a daily beater and not buying to keep.

If it was me, it's gonna be the GV. I like the unique green sapphire glass.

yes i did. at least 3 times. the 1st time i'm 80% inclined to black, 2nd time 60% to black, 3rd time (today) i think i'm almost 50/50 which is why i said the GV is growing on me.

however, i'm not sure if that's bcos i've been reading too many GV reviews as there were none on the black. also, since i'm not keeping the watch as a collectible, i'm not fully convinced that the premium is justifiable hence seeking advice from fellow forummers who may have been in the same shoes.

In many cases, I find that the first impulse is always the purest and often the right one. If you initially felt that the black caught your eye, then that's probably the one that you'll be happiest with. If you can, try on both and see which suits you better, what looks good in the photos, may not look good on your wrist.
I like the green glass, but the more I look at the black, the more I like it over the green.

Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak

Courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen

Go with your thoughts & feels. If u really like GV, go for it. I would prefer GV as it's unique. Moreover this model was sold at almost 3 times it's listed price when it was launched about 2 years ago. That shows how popular it is. But now it has changed. The supply has increased while demands is still high. Go for it!

GV without a doubt. Wife just bought one in HK 2 weeks back. The green crystal is unique and the lume at night is captivating.
