    hi all

i need a protective film to cover my 1980 sea dweller sapphire glass face...

any idea where i can get it?

    thank you very much

dont bother. just wear it. unless you are working on nuclear submarines or taipei 101 building site, there is no need to put protective film.

I thought u want other type of "protection"

      Two ways to go:-
      1) Hv u tried using Gladwrap? This wont leave any residue when you unwrap it.

      2) Is it just for one watch? I think I hv the stick-ons for the glass face. U want it? I use it to cover my watch winders' viewing windows prior shipment.

      Just PM me.

      cheers!

Tried this before and no use at all.... If you have sapphire glass, don't bother protecting it. Just wear it as it is. If you add this layer of "protection" the watch dial will look a bit "cloudy or obstructed".

Furthermore, it is more likely that your glass is chipped than scratched. None of this protection will work to prevent chipping. To prevent this, just wear your watch a bit more careful lor. So far it happened only to my omega Seamaster. Must have hit it with something sharp/hard.

Why not much will scratch a sapphire crystal except a diamond, if you have a 1980 SD 1665 then it will have a Acrylic crystal, if 16660 then sapphire that should not need any protection.
