  • Would you pay S$1300 more for GMTII over Sub Date?

Sub Date looks nice (colleague A wearing it), GMTII has its own charm too (colleague B wearing it).

Say you're able to get either at a nice discount over the AD price (Sub Date is $8228, GMTII is $9599, based on AD price http://www.sg-roc.com/showthread.php?t=40), which one will you get?

    Sub Date - No doubt

    GMTII - No doubt

2 very different watch if you asked me. U need to ask yourself if the GMT function is a necessary feature in your routine. If its purely for aesthetic purpose then I personally would pass on the GMTIIC and go with the SS Subdate. But if you are adamant on a brand new GMTIIC, then I suggest you wait out for prices of it to stablise. Juz my .02

It is more like individual preference.

For me, I do not fancy with those blinging blinging type of watch. GMT II, I assume you are referrring to ceramic bezel with polished center link and I personally don't like it the center link been polished.

I owned both Sub date and old model of GMT II, if you would ask me which ones I would flip it, my answer is GMT II. I still prefer the rugged looks of the Subbies.

Btw, I have no intention of flipping my watch at the moment

            That's my 2 cents.

            Cheerio,

like what Tarus75 and ^Lee^ mentioned. these 2 watches serve different purposes. it is also up to individual preferences.

based of purpose use. if you travel often, then the GMT is a better option. if you dive alot, then definitely the sub but who wears a sub to dive? when i go diving, i use a dive comp.

more importantly, try out both watches on your wrists. take your time to decide. never rush.

btw, i opt for both. this is because when in doubt, buy all.
