  • What is a Mint watch?

What is considered mint? Mint suppose to be flawless and BINB right? Think the word Mint is abused too much by watch sellers....

flawless yes; meaning not polished. *imo* doesnt have to be BNIB, LNIB can also be considered mint condition. (your opinions may differ)

Mint does not have to be BNIB...mint as long as no or minimal scratches

Agreed ! I feel this word "mint" should be more appropriately used to describe a pre-own item, not on a brand new item.

          what is mint

Mint condition means in new or like-new condition. I feel anything with any kind of scratch should be called mint..... If not anything is mint....

If outlooks is like 95% and above close to new...I feel mint condition is ok. But best is to see the actual piece if not pictures

Mint to me is like new, or good condition. It also depends on the age of watch.

If its vintage, then mint = no serious corrosion, no deep dents, not over polished. Or even better, not polished with only normal superficial scratches. Movement is properly serviced and not worn out.
