  • Any experience with HK dealers?

Hi guys. I am looking to get a piece of Daytona or Sub. Was surfing the web and saw good prices from some HK based dealers.

Anyone with good and bad experiences to share?

    Hi

Most of their BNIB prices are higher than our dealers here unless you are talking about pre-owned sets which of course will depend on the condition of the watches. Heard the high prices are due to the Chinese swamping to their island to buy in bulk!

Other than that, their vintage sets definitely beats ours hands down, anytime!

    Hope this helps.

Listed prices for BNIB in HK are higher than SG but the discounts given by the HK AD are more so compare still cheaper than SG.

The pre-own in HK are more expansive than singapore but they have more variety and models.

Go google for a certain HK watch snob, his blog is pretty informative about Rolex in HK. However, discounts are rarer now, especially for popular sports model as demand is always more than supply.

Another point HK is tax free, SG AD we need to pay GST.

just share something i got from the sales person over in HK. SS models are definitely cheaper in HK while those with gold will be higher than SG. they mark up quite a bit for those models with gold or full gold.

I was in HK back in Jan and went into some AD shops there to enquire prices out of curiosity. After discount there , not much different from Singapore AD prices after discount too. So no point going there to buy BNIB watches .... plus I would be very careful about buying watches there too since it is so near to China and so many counterfeits there.

Hmmm, I am heading off to HK staying in causeway bay area soon, and am thinking of picking up a bnib diamond crusted bling bling SS men datejust for my wife.

So seems like not ideal anymore?

Better to get bnib from grey dealers in Singapore instead?

If you were to buy from reputable HK AD, I reckon you would be safe bah... And yes, you are right to say that the prices there are about the same as SGP. Their demand is strong due to the Chinese buyers...

                              Hi,

Welcome to SG ROC, probably the best site in Singapore to learn, discuss, sell and trade your beloved Rolex LOL

Those advertised here are pretty reputable and I have dealt with a few over the years. Not to worry, most of SGP dealers are ok. But you may wish to ask around for a specific dealer with the forumers here via private message, aka PM here. I have heard of horror story too

                              Welcome again...
