Magnetized Watches

Anyone know if the more economically priced winders like boxy, navale etc pose a danger of magnetizing the watch due to the magnetic field generated by the motor?

I would suggest you contact the distributors directly. I believe they have answers to your questions.

I would say not possible even for the lowest price winder. The motor used in the winder is consider small and the magnet not that strong. Beside that the casing used to house the magnet is a non magnetic material.
Dont take my word for it, try it out yourself.

Perhaps for the benefit of other forum users who want to buy boxy winders, i got an email from the distributor that their full range of winders will never ever magnetize a mechanical watch.
