  • Watch repair for flying turbillon watch?

Hi guys, long time no see Liao!!

Need some help here... Today took out a watch given as a gift. It's a flying turbillon (unknown movement) and tried winding it... Maybe too long never touch the watch ended up breaking the winding stem...

Anyone know where can I get the watch repaired and service?

    Please advise... Thanks

Anyone has an idea of the cost? Flying turbillon should be cheaper right?

If it is one of those over priced tourby made by some Swiss company, better send to their service center. If yours s those affordable Asian made tourby( which can be found in quite a handful of Swiss watch!!! dun ask me to name them pls!!!) then either go to the company or look for a reputable watch repair shop. Champion time in bencoolen building claims that they can service tourby and yours only need a stem change so should be easier. But try at your own wish.

I sort of have a vague idea a tourbillon is a mechanism that counters the effects of gravity on vital parts such as the hairspring and balance wheel, when the watch is placed in certain fixed positions
End state is to ensure accuracy

But what is a flying tourbillon? Some improved mechanism on the normal tourbillon?

if the winding stem broken and the tourbillon mechanism is ok, think a normal watch repairer can do the job.
