Question on a old IWC.

Hi all,

I'm new to this forum and wou'ld like to seek help on a watch.

My father's gotten this IWC from an old watch shop many years ago. Its beautiful, without papers or anything. However we do not know of its model name or year of manufacture.

Maybe somebody here could help?
The watch serial no is 2242422.

You may wanna check with the brand's distributor:

you can ask IWC for an extract from the archive if the watch is >10yrs old.
it will tell you the date sold and the location/retailer it was sold to.
only in exceptional reasons is the owners name recorded in the archive

you will have to pay for this service.
check with the service center for more details.

Nice watch, Wilson; could be a Portofino but like what the guys here said, just bring it to Richemont & have them verified. Could be worth some money there. Good luck!
