film makers often expose the damned evil and malice of war and human hatred, and present them in exaggeration to condemn the atrociousities
this movie belongs to this genre
it talks about the tragedies of the Lebanon civil war in the 70s, through the eyes of a pair of twins seeking to discover their real identities, by the will of their mother
the truth, as they discovered, is brutal and cruel (and alittle far-fetched, if you asked me)
forgiveness does let the audience breath a little towards the end, but even then, the tragedy could haunt some subconsciously for a while
it is a difficult film to digest, but worth a watch if you could swallow the bitter aftertaste
i rate it 3.5/5
