Readup google on how to fight smog - its not the smell that kills, its the harmful particles that staysinside your lungs once inhaled
        You need hospital grade HEPA
FYI, do you know the effectiveness of any air purifier ( there are more than 8 methods to purify air from contaminants) is based on CADR? As for hospital grade HEPA, I guess if you are working in an office or staying in a house that is full of house mites, viruses and even possible TB infection then, then you would need to even wear a hospital grade HEPA mask and even a suit when walking around or even when you go to sleep. The Chinese saying is apt " you do not need to kill a chicken with a knife used to kill a cow".

Different situations of smog require different strategy, and of course comes with a cost. Ranging from using HEPA, to ozone to UV, to Ionizer, they come with different cost, and even the effectiveness does not directly relate to cost.

Based on our general good health condition and our family members, the water filter type or air water revitaliser generally removes the bigger dust particles and absorb some smoke smell. Our nose can detect the improvement and differences in the air quality. However, when the PSI goes up to 401, then of course the only way to keep yourself safe is to lock yourself in a decontaminated room and fill every corner with HEPA grade air purifier. Or can just wear N95 at home watching TV or even going to sleep.

Guess our air water revitaliser is only good enough for healthy people like us, which the minor improvement in home air quality is suffice for our general well being.

Reading your above comment, i can sense your urge to defend your products, but truth is, the effectiveness of a product has nothing to do with the user's health status - you might be kidding only yourself

water swirling 'revitaliser' hardly revitalises anything
How can these 'revitaliser' clean the air for your room when there is no air exchange?
You need to move dirty air in volumes through a HEPA filter that catches the micro particles before it can throw out cleaned air
To remove smell, these HEPA filter must include additional carbon filter that remove odour
The 'revitaliser' u mentioned only produce scent to mask the smog smell - doesnt do anything that a HEPA and carbon filter does

The only effective methods to fight smog is n95 mask (outdoors) and HEPA filters (indoors)

Comparing i) a aircon room with HEPA air purifier or ii) to wear the uncomfortable n95 whole day, i choose i) because its alot more comfortable. N95 mask (1pc $2) need a tight fit to be effective. Surgical mask is useless (1pc 20cent) against smog
Tight fit is uncomfortable for even one hour, let alone whole day whole night

I digressed. Back to the topic, comparing a water swirling air 'revitaliser' and a HEPA filter is like comparing a surgical mask with a n95 mask
One is a effective product, the other is just a make-do-wannabe

Btw the psi this morning at this time 9am is 323
          Enjoy your 'revitalised' air

i guess psi is 100 to 120 now, but NEA data show 178
could be other parts of island not as clear

PSI 370 two days ago on 20June

                PSI 122 today 22June at 3pm

122 is still unhealthy, but is alot clearer and feels cleaner than hazardous 370
indo take alook at what your agri burning is doing to our air
no one has the right to rob us of our priviledge for clean air

all is good since two days ago
today is the best in 1week - PSI 50 and AQI 50

in case you didnt read up, PSI refer to particles 10micron and AQI 2.5micron (of course, smaller the particle, more harmful)
high PSI does usually infer high AQI but that's not always the case - dependent on nature of pollutant and its source

I do not know how to react (to be happy or sad) when SG PSI drop below 100 but our neighbour PSI 700.
