Why the 3 for 99 no good? Workmanship or material?

How much do those tailor shops charge? Any idea? Thanks.

It depends on the fabric, for lower range type usually use polyester material I think.

There's one called Picadilly Tailor at Far East Plaza. Good material and value pricing =) They tailor there is more up to date to fashion so he understands my requests etc.

at least go for wool blend business pants.

cheap pants collects dusts and lint easily.

I suggest going for better material for the comfort as you won't want to wear a uncomfortable pant for like 6-9hrs. Wool blend fabric is good!

                            Bumping an old thread up.

I have been going to Ai Lee tailor at Seah Im for the past 3-4 years but the last few times I went I have been really disappointed with the results. Always too big/small/cuffs too short. This happens even when I leave him with a shirt/pants that I want replicated. When I hold it up side by side, they are very different but then he will try to weasle his way out of altering them to what I originally asked for. The very last straw came when it still was not done right a second time, I brought it back and got told off for being troublesome. Needless to say, I've given up on this guy.

Anyone has any recommendations on where to go to get shirt/pants done locally? I was going to try the one at Ubi but my friend had a similar experience to what I mentioned above so not going to waste my time trying there. I have an exact template with measurements that fit perfectly already so no need to measure me up (less work for the tailor) - these are from Bangkok so obviously can't go back there.

Lastly anyone had any experience buying your own fabric and bringing to a shop to get them to make a shirt/pants for you?

                              Frank Tailor
                              Peninsula Shopping Centre
Frank's rates are extremely reasonable,he cuts his work personally in the shop and he is able to ensure excellent fit and entertain special requests.
