  • Asking for input in oversea's land banking.

    Good day forumers.

Got a consultant guy who did a presentation for oversea's land investment/banking recently.

Showing an average 12% to 15% p.a. returns. Double your money in 5 to 7 years.

Keen to know about the risks, upsides and downsides of this investment.

Anybody has any knowledge/experience about this, please share or PM me.

    Thank you in advance.

Do a google for the landbanking company name...I did a Google a few months back when approached by a very aggressive company marketing the investment...saw alot of horror stories online..

i haven't had experience in landbanking, but in general i think if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Offhand though, I can think of the fact that you don't know what you're buying into - and thats a massive risk. That said, i've also heard of early entrants earning loads from it, just like how a company is selling gold these days.

Personally I would avoid it totally.

Just like some other amazing returns products. If the returns are so good, they don't need to sell.
You will have to queue for days after the big time insiders left over.

        My 2 cents.

If the investment is good, why would the local people leave anything behind for the outsiders? If even the locals prefer not to touch, what the motivation for you as an outsider to consider the offer? Unless it a reputable company with all the promises written in black and white and some good records, maybe I will consider...

Thank you guys for the response.

The guys shown me the land acquisition plan/project for Canada, in Ontario which the
management foresee a 300,00 immigrants annually to Canada.

They registered a Sales and Capital Management in Raffles Place few years ago till now.
And one of the board Directors is ex-Walt_n investment for Asia.

Anyone else got anything to contribute to this? Canada economic growth? Government tax, broker fee,etc..

Guess I have to undertake a more holistic approach to land investment.

Reminds me of the Profitable Plot saga a couple of years ago. As with any investments, it comes with substantial RISK.
