Honestly, if JW charges 400 excluding labour for an Omega insert, I think what "that shop" quoted you for your Rollie isn't too bad.

modern SM "service bezel" is not insert only but a complete bezel hence the high price. swatch will not sell insert only because such a part does not exist.

rolex sapphire gmt inserts are $65-$130 (SGD) overseas... depending on territory (and exchange policy).

I, too, recalled that RSC quoted me $100++ for change of a bezel insert. Can't recall which particular model but definitely not those anniversary models like the Sub LV.

Walked into this established watch dealer at ground floor in golden landmark.
Asked for a gmtii 16710 bezel insert replacement.
The BIG boss said :"have, $500."
Walked out immediately.

Heard gd things about this shop but will never recommend anyone to go near there.
Some people are just too arrogant to be given business.
Be prepared to walk in with a load of cash to buy his AP or else be treated like an idiot.

Haha i went to the shop recently and asked for a GMT bezel insert for my 16710 and they said that they have but don't sell coz it's for their personal use. You must have pissed the boss off that's why he told you $500 lol.
