  • New arrival... double nice double red

My ultimate grail is a Great White 1665 but when this came along I knew it was too good to pass up.

Here is my, almost, new old stock quality Double Red 1665.

Very few vintage pieces meet my standards but this one ticks them all: unpolished, razor sharp lugs and case, original-to-the-watch insert, crystal as well as folded 9315/380 bracelet. Black paint still in the case back engravings.

It's a 5m MK4 from 1977 so the most common of the 1665s and not overly rare but to find one in this condition is in itself is pretty sweet.

Ordered a brand new 93150/585 from Rolex so I don't wear the sweet folded 9315.

Here it is, the ultimate vintage diving machine.

It's so MINT! as if Rolex is putting it on production again! the previous owner had done an extremely good job in maintaining it.
