Definitely congrats on the watch.. really sweet, but a salute to you for getting your degree even though you said you are old (not too sure exactly how old, I assume at least 40). Having the will and determination to get your degree definitely deserve anyone's respect and admiration.

thanks cedric, i'm 39 (just shy of 40), and this late degree took me 5 years across 3 jobs to complete. At times feel like giving up, but pressed on, resit & retake until i passed. So when my journey was finally over, I thought it befitting to mark this personal accomplishment with a significant Rolex, the Day-Date.

Man, I am happy for your new watch ( I always love seeing threads of ppl getting new watch) but happier for your accomplishment. Wish I was as determined as u. Well done, definitely deserving of the Goldie.

P.s. Remember to take a pic of goldie with your degree as remembrance

But u more garang, went for YG Daytona! So by that count you are surely younger than me!

But seriously bro, a YG Day-Date is a MUST.

I have to agree with you on that!

What is the size of the Day-Date? 36mm or 38mm? I am not sure whether it will look small on me. Having said that, I am happy to let my wife wears it.

                          Thanks bro!

36mm may be a tad too small for my liking. My smallest watch is the AP RO 15300 at 39mm, but it does wear big due to the lugs.

I guess I will check out the Rolex garage more often now

                          You are poisonous!

The real poisonous one is Throttle! Look what he got me into? Gold Gold Gold!

36mm is also too small for my liking initially, ESP when I compare side by side w my half gold Daytona. But it became an acquired taste... The full gold look was hard to resist, the history of the Day-Date, the association with statesmen & accomplished individuals, the poison from Throttle..... And I succumbed.

And my wrist not that big, so 36mm looked ok as a dress watch for me. And now I'm pushing the boundary further by going casual with my Day-Date...

The BLING must have made the watch wears BIGGER!!!

I should go and size my bracelet quick!!
