Firstly, pls let me thank all the members on the forum as I gained a wealth of knowledge reading. This is my first post, and thought I'd share the good news about my first Rolex.
I've been eyeing on the iconic Submariner for quite some time. Since I already own (and dearly love) my Speedmaster Professional, I wanted an automatic with Date feature.
As I was looking around for one, I walked into the Hour Glass store at Ngee Ann City this evening. The sales person smiled, and asked me if I could wait 10 minutes. When asked why, he said "oh, new stock just arrived". A phone call came in 5 minutes later, "it's ready". I went straight to the point and asked for the 116610. He asked whether I would like to see the standard model or the green one. Feeling a little tired of sports watches with black dials, I asked him to show me the "green one".
So this is what I came back home with:
