116613LB is a nice watch. I like the yellow gold bit on the watch.

Just less than 2 weeks and my 2 year old son has already marked the Daytona as his - by leaving a 1.5 cm scratch on the bezel.

I think I'll leave it as it is. At least I can now recognize my watch with one look. But ouch was definitely the initial feeling.

I did think of sending it to RSC for polishing, but I'll probably leave it till I send it for servicing, which may be a few years later.

RSC's advice - collect a few more scratches and then change the bezel. Polishing will polish away the numbers on the bezel as well.

But I doubt you will opt for more scratches moving forward .. protecting the babe even more .. Anyway, just be natural. I have similar experience with my watches. Just a day and found hairlines/minor scratches on the clasp. A bit of discomfort for a start and later getting used to it - A watch is a watch. Enjoy!

of course i'll try not to add any more scratches to the bezel and case, but i guess it's unavoidable for the bracelet and clasp, at least in my case when i always rest my wrist on the table when typing on the keyboard.

Mine is barely a month old... and today, I discovered a kink on the edge of my bezel...
                            Stomach sank!
I think I might have knocked against the edge of the glass door of my office... why is glass stronger than steel???

                            Sigh...

By the way, I noticed the radial patterns on the smaller dials... I don't seem to see the patterns on mine... why is that so?

actually, i can hardly see the radial patterns with my naked eyes... have you tried taking a macro shot with your camera?
