And I bet Ferrari drivers don't buy Ferrari watch.

100% agreed with you on this one... Ferrari drivers dun buy Ferrari watch. If they know their cars, they should know their watches too!

Very true, Throttle, I'm turning 28 this year and I have just gotten my 1st rolex (milgauss black face) and I am only a rolex fans since 1 month ago (previously was tag).......reason being tag is cooler, with younger spokesperson (hamilton, leonardo dicaprio etc)...and rolex is being tagged as uncle....

I drive a '04 camry and looking to upgrade to a mercez c-class or a vw scirocco (same la, previously i'm a bmw fans cus mercez is labelled as uncle).....guess i am becoming a young uncle now.....(i know camry doesnt suit me for my age but the purchase was a worth deal...hehe)

but in the same 10 yrs, i've only worn 1 brand of watch, ie Rolex.
so i dont think there's particularly any balance between the both but they do change according to our age and life stages and therefore the "balance"

when i was in my late twenties a sporty Sub was my pick until i hit my early thirties when i added a Daytona and explorerII
then in my late thirties (now) i added a gold Daydate and a vintage datejust.
and i'm beginning to like the gold look more than ever.

if anything, i realise that one's fascination with Rolex the brand only happens from mid twenties onwards.
prior to that, it would be omegas and tags, probably due to price and funkier designs.

in the past, could never understand my older friends (above 50s) with their solid gold and diamond daydates, but i'm beginning to relate more as age catches up.....hahahahahaha

I also never liked Rolex until i turned 38 last year..... and true enough, now i find myself liking the half gold types rather than SS types.... Full gold also nice! Cant run away from the uncle label anymore...
          I'm in bad company........

I own a Lexus GS300 and a MINI Cooper S, my daily watch is a GMT II, on weekends I wear a JLC Navy SEALs. The rest of my watches I wear depending on my mood. Cheers!

Thanks bro! She is a eyecatcher, and i love the weigh too. Recently, busy at work and not much time to shop around. I understand that AD are giving very little discount, the list price is about S$39K+. Not too sure the discount like now?

Interesting thread, never thought of matching watch with car, I usually choose the watch depending on mood and occasion and my attire. So, this set me thinking...

Dun see why must be a balance. I have nothing to prove to anyone.
