Actually, I think watches and cars have a natural affinity in the measurement of time - chronographs and racing go hand in hand. Watches like Rolex Daytona, TH Monaco, Chopard Gran Turismo all have racing heritage in them.
Plus the fact that both appeal quite strongly to the same demographic, namely adult men, brand tie-ups have been quite common. I personally owned a Chopard Gran Turismo Alfa Romeo Ltd Edn when I was driving an Alfa.
To me is definitely affiliated, i always go for watches that matches either my car colour or the dash board colour. The BMW logo certainly matches the watch and the white dial AP goes along with the white colour of my car.
Wooo! I love cooper S. It's one of the cars I must own in my lifetime. Too bad, I need space for my kids now and keeping a second car is very taxing. But someday.....
I know my car and watches will always be "on" a balance...i.e. same pot of gold to fund both purchases.
If I want to upgrade my car, probably need to sell some of watches, likewise, want to get another timepiece, probably shld consider downgrading my ride to do so ;p
