  • A Vintage Start: My 5513

    Hi All:

I'm new to the forum, but have lurked a bit -> looking & learning
Many thanks to all who've been actively posting here, the information & feedback are much appreciated!

I live and work in Tokyo, Japan (can't speak, much less read, Nihongo!). So after a bit of searching, finally decided to take the plunge and got a 5513 from Quark in Shibuya.

It's an R serial (R905xxx) from around 1987~1988, sold in Tokyo May 1989:

Now my daily wear watch, "Rollie" survived it's first summer beach party over the weekend!

Now to get started on that DRSD being offered by a local dealer...

    Thanks for Looking!

Congrats. That's a nice 5513 to start. But to progress to DRSD from her will be phenomenal!

The poison will be hard to purge once it is in!

LOL! Indeed, it shall be quite a jump -> 3x to 4x in absolute terms (where I'm at).

But the examples available locally are so compelling: Jackroad DRSD

                        The poison is deadly...

                        Thanks All!

If you continue to pop into Jackroad or Quark...I'm sure the poison will go deeper.

There are some top grade DRSD / Orange Hand / Newman there that will make you poorer by a few million yens.
