Hi everyone! I have been a follower of this forum for about 2 weeks before I got my first Rolex watch as a wedding gift from my mother-in-law.. During the 2 weeks, I read alot about the design to choose and browsed thru the photos contributed by you guys.. Imagine from zero knowledge on Rolex to having quite abit of "Xiao Zhi Shi" (little knowledge) about this famous brand and their watches... I also did quite abit of legwalk to try on my shortlisted designs and sizes.. As well as to check out the prices
Because it is a momento and an expensive gift from my hubby's mother, I decided I want a humble yet classic design which I will like it now and will still like it 5, 10, or even 50 years from now (quote Minusplus in his post on which rolex to get).. hee..
So I have decided on a 31mm DateJust with silver dial and hour index markers, with oyster bracelet. Have always loved the bracelet instead of the jubilee one.. And I chose a silver dial cos it's easier and more convenient to match with clothes. And of cos I believe the datejust is one of the most classic design to go for... I just saw my colleague's 16 year-old datejust with diamonds on the dial and it still looks beautiful and like a new one after servicing!
Now I just wana say thanks to this forum as it has helped me made a wise choice on one of the most important gifts of my life...
Here are some photos for you guys to enjoy
