Getting into rolex after a life changing occurence

I was never a watches person and i never liked wearing watches, unless for use as a stopwatch when out running. So when my mum bought me a seiko when i 1st started working many many years ago, i only wore it for a short while before giving it to my dad. Thereafter i forgot about the watch until this year when my mumleft us for a better place and somehow the watch was found, still working but albeit in a bad exterior condition. After wearing for a few days and watching it sustain a few knocks along the way, i decided not to subject this now prized possession to any further damage and to reserve it for wear for special occasions.

After extensive research, i decided to go for a 6694.




After much deliberation, i fell in love with the datejust and so i decided i would get 1 as a companion to my 6694.

Thanks, after reading so much on the rolex brand and it's heritage, i decided my 1st had to be a manual winding piece.
