It is always very nice to receive a Rolex from your elders.

My dad has an Oysterdate, more than 30 years old.

I don't think it is in a very good condition.

Am thinking of getting it restored at RSC.

Any idea how much it will cost?

this thread sets me thinking of the rollie yg dd that my dad wanted me to have. i've sold it to pay for his medical bills...shortly after, he passed on....

i won't say i regret/no regret selling it because the watch belongs to him and we used it to pay for his medical bills...but i say keep it with u if u can....

                              hi guys,

I have a similar Rolex DJ that is full gold. I think they referred it as the "Rolex Star" some 20 yrs.

Can anybody suggest a likely value to it? My old man wants to trade it for a Daytona, i thot of buying it off his hands and keep it in the family (for me at least).

                              Thanks yo!

Rolex star is actually the half gold models.

The DJ in full gold I suppose is a mid size..which in those days people call it the boy king.

                                Agar agar value...7-8k
