14060M back from RSC service

Was supposed to be ready for collection on 5th Feb. But they called me up yesterday.

Did you include polishing as part of the servicing as it looks brand new?

Just wondering when we send it for case polishing, do they also polish the bracelet as well? Or is it a separate charge item

They do it together as a package. My sub scratches were all polished off, including the bracelet. Even a minute ding was even out. Good as new.

The servicing price includes polishing of case and bracelet. But I requested not to have the bracelet polished, this time round....same price though...

IMHO, if there are no major Dings or deep scratches...there is no need for panic and no need for polishing....unless to bring...eg:- a 10/20 year old watch, back to life.

This one cost me $340 for full servicing, parts change will incur extra charges. Prices will be increasing very soon, it will be minimum $600 for sports models.

how come become 600 leh? peg to market rate with subsidy liao? that is why i only keep one rolex..if the servicing cost 600, how to afford so many rolex leh?

The lady at RSC, said that servicing charges will be increasing very soon...by 1st March....may even be sometime in Feb....base price $600 for sports models.

wow... expensive... imagine your watch got nothing wrong, just oiling and replacing the water-proofing gasket... die die charge us S$600... sigh

Yes, not too shabby for a 6+ yr old watch.

The service warranty is valid for a year.

Wow $600 is expensive. I better send my Exp II in soon.

So thats $340 full servicing + $60 case polishing + $60 bracelet polishing = $460.

I have my watch for 10 years, never serviced or polished !
