Not sure if dial has been refurnished. Will bring to some pro to verify.
Anyone has recommendation for me to bring this beauty for verification (other than RSC)?
If am not mistaken, this unicorn is specifically made for the canadian market..1930-40 era. Dial should be enamel ....which is very fragile ...so do take precaution during handling. Btw, do notice a small chip on the sub-dial ( hope its not a camera lens reflection ).
Wah you paid 4 digit for this pocket watch ar?....... My point of view is that you may have paid too high for it liao...well, unless you got it as a heirloom or as a special gift from someone.
For a 4 digit sum you could have gotten at least an 9k or 14k gold case watch of much larger size. 32mm size usually is used by the ladies in the olden days...
With regards to the movement, better get it service soon if it has problem keeping time as from the pic, can see that it is already being adjusted to the extreme Retard/Slow position... May indicate the need to change it's hairspring soon...
But anyway it's really a nice pocket watch
BTW i'm pretty interested in the other pocket watch in the photo with it... the one with Jump Hour... Issit a Rolex too?
