It is a 300 pieces limited edition Ref # 31039. It is the simplicity and the strange looking design on the dial that attracted me. Retail was $18,000 thereabout.
The following information about the watch was sent to me by bro Wind:
Sultan Signature Vacheron & Constantin, Genève.
Made for the Turkish Market.
Summary:
=========
The dial features a signature of Sultan Suleiman, Le Magnifigue (the Magnificent) and watch was to commemorate the 700th anniversary of the Ottoman Empire. This watch was based on a model from the "Essentielles" line, Ref 31039. It is WG and has the manual winding caliber 1132. As you could infer from the case back, this limited edition watch was limited to 300 pieces. They were sold in 2001.
