May I know why this watch is not given to all serving NS? Only for SAF? What about ROD NSmen from SPF or SCDF?

I know that this watch will only be given after Reservists ROD. My question is why this watch only given to those whom served SAF?

Read from other forum, a forumer from SPF comment that he only received a letter but no watch after 40 years old. My friend from SCDF also completed his whole cycle. Now is 42, also does not received any watch from his SCDF.

Simple MINDEF have more budget than MHA.

I got the watch with a cert that I had completed my tour of duty early this year @ the age of 33.

I think it's an infantry or guards man .. ROD thingy .. cos most of my friends that's not in infantry or guards don't have it too.
I may be wrong ... just a thought .. don't flame me ah!!

My vocation is brigade MP always see greenery during every ICT maybe because we are at the front line with the battalion. My guess is you are probably a division MP. I am now 41yrs old attended 3 ICT in ROC and completed 6 high key but get nothing except for a letter thanking my service on my 40th birthday. No watch.

Never heard of brigade MP or divison MP before.
Btw, MP = Military police for me.
