My IWC Portuguese 7D Reserve "Panda" !!

Was originally looking at the 2009 IWC Port 7D Laureus Edition with the "Panda" eyes.

PM'ed a fellow forum brudder with some questions, thinking that he owns one. The mistaken identity led to my education on the difference btw the Laureus & the father of Port 7D==> the original IW5000-01 !!

Anyway, one thing led to another and before you know it... a sale was made just like that

Congrats. You really should wind it up and let the 7 days be pointing to 7 days of reserve. Always found 'reserve' sounds nicer than 'days'.

Are there two models of the limited edition Portuguese 7 days Auto, both with the panda looks but one with blue dial (Laureus Sports) and the other black ?

Would appreciate if someone can advise which is a better model to keep. Thanks.

The one shown here is the original Portuguese 5000 with plexi glass and no date function. The latest blue dial Laureus sports model should be sapphire crystal.

Come to collecting, i am sure the first model shown here is more collectible (if you can get your hand on one).

Nice...but I think "panda" refers to white face (dial) with black eyes (registers) not black face with white eyes leh...

Cos the Panda dial Portuguese 2000 is the first 7 days movement watch introduced by IWC.
