Speaking of this I hope gurus here can help.

Can I just walk into any of the watch service & repair watch company/shop to get a service quote? Like the Rsc, JW, Top Hour, etc. I wonder if they will advise me correctly what I need/need not do, and at the end of it, allow me to decide and quote me a 'package' price or something?

your picture is too small for my eyes to see it properly... can you post something bigger?

it looks to be an oyster case but might not contain a rolex movement per se.

seller only provided a single picture from the front. so i doubt anyone can tell you with 100% certainty whether the watch is real or not. it is mentioned that the case number of the 6694 is 11XXXXX, however, there is no picture to confirm the serial number.

as mentioned the dial is a refurbished dial. original 6694 comes with primarily black, silver, yellow/gold/blue dial. all the markers are batons. however baton markers also have different variations.

it says movement, crown are signed, however, there are no pictures of the crown nor the movement.

common issue with such vintage rolex pieces is rust. without opening the case back to check for rust and/or pitted case. it is hard to say how good/bad the case and/or movement is.

if you want to buy a 6694. there are quite a number of pieces being sold in the forum. however, if you are buying because of the dial, then you may want to consider going to places like bencoolen, people's park to see if they have the dial you want.

dont forget that your watch is subjected to GST when reaching sg as it is above 400. based on calculations, the cost is about 1200*current bid price* exclude GST. there are pieces being sold in the forum for about 1500 with bracelet. according to item information, the watch is here in sg. why not go direct?

u have to make a decision for yourself.

                              Hi bros,

I am new to rolex and just inherited a rolex from my late father.

                              Can help to ID this?

And how to remove the strap so I can shorten it by myself? It seems to be permanent.
