  • Help: Advice for Datejust

    Hi

Recently I come across one of my dad's old watch that he used to wear. See that the watch is in quite bad condition, I went down to Rolex service center.

I was quoted 1.7k to service the watch. I would like to check with everyone if it make sense to service this watch?

I not too sure even on the model. All I know is that this is a Datejust
    thanks!!

If your Dad hand it to you his Rolex, i guess whatever model it is, it best to service or overhaul it. You can check it in the Lobang thread, there is alot of good service places in the forum.
    Good Luck bro !!!

Try www.jwwatch.com. Alternatively, try Cabin Time @Toa Payoh Ctl, a fellow forum member here named "horologyfanatic" aka Stanley.

        Gd luck!

if cost no issue, RSC confirm best place to go but you have to pay for it. take my rebuilt 6694, it has become some kind of "benchmark" in this forum

haha. I definitely won't want to try to beat your benchmark

BTW anyway I can identify how old the watch is?

U have to take the reference number of the watch aka the IC number...before you can find out

                        Must remove the bracelet first...

Make me regret not reading the forum before I brought it to RSC. When they showed how bad the watch condition was, they stripped the watch already.
