the bay sells a whole load of such dials..

hmm.. the dial is original. =) saw some similar dial over at second hand shop as well... and was told its the range in the 1997-1998 i think.

It could be an Original dial that has been refurnished? Not too sure if Rolex ADs offered this then..

You might want to check with RSC on its authenticity..
