Servicing a Vintage

Have gone arund singapore to find someone to service this vintage, but some say that they do not know how to service such a watch and some say no spare parts...

Servicing vintage at RSC

Hi

I have a vintage piece that I want the movement serviced. Could I assume that RSC won't touch the dial/hands/crystal ? Or do I have to explicitly tell them?

what you want done (or not done) you must tell them explicitly.

dont want dials/hands/crystal to change tell them, make sure its noted on the receipt
the same goes if you dont want to have it polished, etc.

I was at RSC yesterday to check on servicing for my 6694. Cost $610 and they need 5 weeks to service any model.

$610 consist of servicing, change parts and polish ?

Polish not too sure but replace acrylic glass, change minor parts, service and change seal.

thanks everyone for your pointers, managed to get down to RSC to ask for a quote up front. crazy prices - suffice to say a complete service would have almost cost me the price a new piece and not to mention devaluing a perfectly nice vintage piece. Think i am going to pass and just go third party for a movement service
