  • What does the term vintage really mean?

I see in the header, "Covering all models before and around 1960s e.g. Rolex Oyster Prince, Oyster Precision and other out of production models...". I browse and become quite blur because hardly see watch before and around
60's. It is more for watch no more produced by Rolex?

Personally...vintage is usually more than 20 or 30 years...it depends on how some ppl see it. But personally...I would find 30 years more of vintage

some collectors consider plexi crystal(plastic) or non sapphire as vintage. others would consider model that has been discontinue as vintage.

i personally falls in the plexi group. in the end, no right or wrong.

          Definition of Vintage

I would prefer this definition of vintage: "representing the high quality of a past time" as in vintage cars and vintage movies.

We should avoid inserting a specific year or period say "the 60s" as this tends
          to be exclusive.
