as far as i know, the markers have to be uniform in color. if the markers on dial is silver then the rolex crown @ the 12 o'clock position is silver. if the markers are gold, then it will be gold.

it is unusual that the markers are gold and the crown is silver. (based on observation on pictures).

this is because there is no reason for one marker to be of a different color.

one of the possible explanation can be that it was swapped with another dial, or replaced from another dial for one reason or another.

Also possible that someone change the coronet on the dial. Just another possibility, best way to check is to pop the caseback.

Having seen/said....there are/were many 6694s that went through many hands and mod along the way.

I hv own few 6694s with recond dial that were original but some frown on it, also some like it.

Personally I feel how you like the watch is more impt coz why bother what others think???

                I am guessing that...

It's due to discoloration but watch is original from what I see.

blue dial 6694 are harder to come by compared to the black with gold(yellow)/silver markers.

if you can find one, the shop will probably be able to change it for you.

however, more important is that you must trust the technician changing it for you.

as for how to identify original and aftermarket dial, try to look @ the wordings. also, if markers are gold, wording is gold. if markers are silver, wording is silver
