    Hi

    Thinking to get a 1803, do RSC still service it and if it break down in fucture like 5yrs time will RSC still got spare parts for replacement?

    and i would not expect a breakdown at all unless you subject it to very rigorous situations. just regular servicing is enough to keep it running for life.

    In addition, watch repair shops should have most of the parts because some of the parts from the older datejust models can aldo be used for the 1803.
    I have also seen entire 1803/1556 movements and parts for sale even online. guess the case and bands were melted for the gold value.

        If you want to be safe, stick with the later 1803 i.e. those made around 1970 and later with the baton markers, rather than the dauphin hands. Off-hand I can't recall my calibre numbers... but avoid the earlier butterfly rotors. .. those are very old, less accurate with wear and tear, and harder to get parts.

        Personelly, I think the dauphin hands are nicer
