Rebuild? Is it like new after that? I dun mind if it is.

Mine the face had faded too. I called this morning and they said that the minimum servicing charges are $700 that includes a glass replacement. If it is like 1K, I am ok.

        Hello all,

I am thinking of selling it off. Any offer? I am initially looking at $1K but one bro said it is too EX. So open to good reasonable offers please.

if you are willing to part a good 2-3k to rebuild the 6694, it will basically be a brand new watch, with the only old part being the movement.

do a search on all my started threads, and you will see the photos. i cant remember if there is a before/after pics.

Thanks, I saw your b4 and after pics. SUPER! $2200 for the overhaul? I dun think mine will come up that much as the bracelets are still good. I wonder if they changed the inner face?

Is yours still working until now since 2008?

take into consideration that those prices are a few years old... my watch is running fine, but slightly fast (+25 secs/day).

dun mind me sayin.. cant zoom in enuf on ur pix, but fr wat i see, the face/ dial has faded pretty nicely

(& u dun b surprise if such faded dial is hotcake in sum countries).

wat i feel is of essential is to get it tickin again (plus change e acrylic so tat e watch is water/ splash proof).

to do a total overhaul at 2k+, u can well get another pre-owned 6694 fr reputable watch shop.

jus an afternote: wat wld u tink ur grand daddy wld wan u to do wif his Rolex?... then u wld b able to make ur decision easier.

what granddad will do with the watch is not important. whats more important *imo* is that you preserve the watch for sentimental value

Agreed with all. I had consulted family members and all are in agreement to sell it off since we are not really collectors.
