Agreed. But you must know which model you want to look for first. Some of this dealers they keep it till you enquire. You may post your request at the WTB Threads. They will look for you.

.... prices are finally on the way down (mostly outside S'pore) ! If there is a vintage piece you want, now is the time to shop.

e.g.

Found overseas (prices in SGD - assume no box/papers):
GMT 1675 - about S$4500-6000,for the more common variants.
GMT 16750/753 - about S$4500-7000
Sub 1680 - About $6000 - 9000 for the more common variants.
Sub 5513 - about $5000 - 7000 for the later variants

Spotted locally (all sold - so pls don't ask where):
GMT 1675 - S$5600
Sub 1680 - $7600
Sub 5513 (late) - $5000

What I've seen for the last month:

UK- Bond Street Area- still very high price for the vintage, maybe they had those for so long that the dealers don't seem to mind the crunch in Europe.

USA- vintage private sellers are the best source, had seen a 1966 5513 meters first, VGC selling for SGD 5,000. 1977 1675 SGD 5,200...Shops , few vintages- still high price.

SIN- Peng Kwee, i found vintage rolexes bit high!

5512-SGD 6,000
1675 -SGD 8,000 fully restored with new bracelet (RSC here)

i am also looking for my year 1680 but they only come in red....too expensive. so i hv also narrow down to 5512. any lobang let me know.
