You may want to decide on the size that you prefer, and your lifestyle. Like e.g, for me, every morning is mad rush, so an automatic watch will be more suitable. 6694 requires winding and imagine the stress you may encounter every day :P

does the shop have a vintage daytona, if no then it is sales talk.

not too sure what is meant by take care? i take care of my vintage watch the same way as my modern watch. most important is find a reliable trustworthy watch technician that you can depend on for watch servicing.

potential buyer purchasing a vintage watch is subjected to the watch being a fraken. another potential issue is having the parts replaced when it is time to do so. this is because once rolex discontinues a model, the parts are made available for about another 10-15 years from the date is discontinued or till parts run out.

if you have the cash for a vintage daytona, go for it after doing due diligence prior to buying.

6694 is a good choice! A hardworking manual winding "workhorse"
                Very tough and lasting movement

Rolex DJ 16234 was my first rolex. Since then it started my R journey.
attached is a Vintage 1603 and is still affordable.

if you’re looking for a vintage non-sports, can consider the oysterquartz. unique and historical. reasonably priced as of now.

All my old sport Rolexes have lost their lume and developed nice patina.
A wonderful thing that new watches with luminova cannot develop
My white gold datejust is from 1991, it is tritium, also developed a vey beautiful patina! I love the face of the watch because of this patina.
