it really depends as both watches comes with different attributes.

6694 is older and the last manual winding watch launched by Rolex. Mkt value for the 15000 is better with its COSC certification.

            ever considered a older peice?
            Circa 1950s?
harder to find but personally find it very appealing

Factory dosent come with thick oyster bracelet n may feel abit flimsy..i changed mine (similiar but not the 1 in de pic) to thick oyster bracelet..better feel..

                to be brutally honest.......

A 15000 is a lovely watch but not a true vintage or even a neo/ retro vintage.........

The general consensus for a "vintage" Rolex is :
                (a) a 4 digit reference code ie 1500, 1600, 1016, 5513 etc etc
                (b) should have an acrylic crystal ........ the old stuff that you can polish !

I would go with the 6694 (the manual wind gives it a bit of character)
whilst if you are going for this watch as a daily wearer, the 15000 will be more practical (albeit not vintage).

                cheers

                Mark

                    All the best Dennis.........

the Perpetual OysterDate 1500 is a beautiful watch.
I have my late Dad's (which incidentally was purchased in Singapore in 1975 -76)..... it is a classic vintage with very clean, simple design !

btw, if you get the chance, have a look at Vintage Rolex forum ( on the assumption that you have not done so already) ..... It has a Market section for vintage watches and you can request to buy (wtb) the watch u want . There are a lot of trusted sellers on that forum.

                    All the best !

You may want to consider the 6424 with 20mm lugs. Nice too. Happy Hunting.

Depends on condition and the package

6694 with box and paper >$1800
6694 without box and paper $1200-$1700

1500 no comments but normally around >$1800
